1. Agreement to terms

By using my services or this website, you agree to these terms. Please read them. If you do not agree, please do not use my services.

2. My services

The Weed Guy sprays weeds on hard surfaces (driveways, paths, patios and gravel) across Leicestershire. The scope of any specific job is set out in the fixed price I send you before work starts.

Until you accept a price in writing (by text or email), nothing on this site forms a binding contract. Any prices shown on this site are a guide; the exact price for your job comes from the photo you send.

3. Quotes and pricing

• I quote a fixed price from the photo and postcode you send. That price is what you pay.
• If the job turns out to be materially different from the photo (much bigger, or a different surface), I’ll tell you in writing and agree any change before I start. I won’t add costs on the day without asking.
• Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless I say otherwise.
• All prices are in GBP.

4. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the job unless I have agreed something else with you in writing. I’ll tell you which payment methods I accept when I book you in.

5. Scheduling, access and weather

I’ll agree a date with you. Spraying only works in dry conditions, because rain within a few hours of treatment washes it off, so if the weather’s against us I may move your job to a dry day. I’ll keep you posted.

You agree to give me safe access to the area to be treated. If I can’t get to it on the agreed day through no fault of mine, I may need to rebook.

6. My guarantee

If the weeds on the area I’ve treated haven’t visibly died within four weeks of spraying, tell me and I’ll come back and re-spray that area at no charge. The guarantee covers the area I treated. It doesn’t cover new weed growth in areas I didn’t treat, and it is a free re-spray rather than a refund.

7. Cancellations and changes

• As a private customer you may have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask me to start work inside the 14-day period, you may have to pay for what has been done up to the point you cancel.
• If you change what you need after I’ve quoted, I’ll give you a revised price before I carry on.
• If I can’t do the job through no fault of yours, I’ll refund any money you’ve paid for work not done.

8. Standard of work

I carry out my work with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (where it applies) and the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that the law does not allow me to limit or exclude (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

Subject to that, my total liability to you for any one job is limited to the price you paid for that job. I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, except where the law requires.

10. Complaints

If something isn’t right, please tell me as soon as you can through the quote form on this website, and I’ll respond and aim to put it right.

11. Use of this website

This site is provided for your information. I do my best to keep it accurate, but I don’t guarantee it is error-free. The site, its design and copy are owned by The Weed Guy and may not be copied without permission.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be dealt with in the courts of England and Wales.
